Our goal for our most recent release, 0.7alpha4, is to give a rough sketch of what Chandler will be by our first Preview release (Spring 2007). This release introduces the Dashboard, which gives users a runway view of all of their information. Users can try creating a simple task list, and can share that list with others just as they can share calendars. Users can also experiment with sending notes, tasks and invitations to others via email.

OSAF is looking for an experienced Senior Software Engineer to build the backend server components for our sharing server (Cosmo). If you have a passion for internet technology and experience building large, scalable systems, we’d like to talk with you.

We are also seeking a Web UI Developer to join our team building a world class Web Application for calendar access and sharing (Scooby). An ideal candidate would have deep skills in JavaScript development skills with a background in Software Engineering. We’re looking for someone with a passion for building great web applications!

Today OSAF released Chandler 0.6.1, an update to its “experimentally usable” calendar. This release fixes a number of bugs that prevented some of our users from downloading and experimenting with the application. The fixes addressed bugs preventing certain calendars from being imported, some sharing errors, and addressing a number of items that support the developer community.
