We have just moved all the OSAF IRC channels, bots, channel logging and other services from irc.osafoundation.org to irc.freenode.net

The channels available on irc.freenode.net are:

• #chandler - The Chandler project
• #cosmo - The Cosmo project
• #scooby - The Scooby project
• #osaf-notices - This is an informal channel for socializing. It is also the destination for useful output from the soup IRC bot, including realtime notifications of changes to the OSAF wikis.

Please connect to this new server from this point on. Click here for instructions on how to join the OSAF IRC chats and how to access the transcript logs from previous sessions.

To allow the Performance Tests to run without impacting the cycle time for existing Tinderbox clients we have set up a dedicated computer running Linux and Gnome.

The client name is mikala-linux

Along with the Performance Tests, this client will also run the GUI Unit Tests.

After upgrading to the latest version of libxml2 (2.6.19) I was able to perform a full build of Chandler on FC4. Read the rest of this entry »

Yesterday 0.2-1 was tagged in the Cosmo source tree and this morning I placed downloads.osafoundation.org/cosmo/releases/0.2/cosmo-0.2-1.tar.gz on the OSAF downloads server for your testing pleasure .

After QA filed some regression bugs and the dev team fixed said bugs they asked me to re-spin the Milestone build and yesterday I did just that.

For my first post I thought I would let everyone know that soon (as in next week sometime) I plan on creating a tinderbox tree and client for Cosmo. The details are still being hashed out but it’s a good sign that I was able to successfully build Cosmo from scratch.
