OSAF Weekly Status Reports now available online.

November 24th, 2003 at 3:10 pm (4 years, 5 months ago) by OSAF under Chandler Desktop Development

Morgen Sagen has been working on a Status Manager tool for allowing OSAF to create unified status reports showing what OSAF members have been working on. The tool is far enough along that we’ve all used it to report work for the week of Nov. 17th and plans for the week of Nov. 23. We hope to have these Status Manager reports available by mid-day on Mondays.

These reports will be posted to the OSAF Wiki page: Weekly Status Manager Reports. As we go along, we’ll learn more about what tasks belong in this tool and which remain appropriate for Bugzilla. We plan to use this as a management tool for tracking what we’re doing, so hopefully you’ll find the info in it useful in following the project.

Pieter will continue to create the periodic Status Update summaries, although perhaps we’ll rename them to avoid confusion. You can find these at: http://wiki.osafoundation.org/bin/view/Main/StatusUpdateReports

Updated IRC Chat topic schedule

November 18th, 2003 at 4:14 pm (4 years, 5 months ago) by OSAF under Chandler Desktop Development, Community, OSAF, Public Events

This Wednesday, Nov. 19th, we will have a discussion of the status of agents in the Chandler world. Stuart and Andrew Francis will give us their thinking on where they stand and what is in the works. Andrew has been volunteering with Andy Hertzfeld on the agent framework for some time and wrote the Notification Manager. Stuart was hired by OSAF a short while back with an initial focus on implementing agents for Chandler.

On Wednesday, Nov. 26th we’ll have a discussion of feature prioritization and recent design decisions, led by Chao Lam, our product manager. Chao has been focused on these areas lately. Mimi Yin, our UI designer will most likely chime in as well. You can find the updated IRC Chat Schedule and information on how to join in at: http://wiki.osafoundation.org/bin/view/Main/ChatSchedule

Both chats will be at 11am Pacific Standard Time, which is 1900 GMT.

Ted is really excited to be working on Chandler and to be involved with another flavor of open source. He’ll be working in the “OSAF Home Office on Bainbridge Island”.
